WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF OUR ADULT LEADERS?

You will be asked to be with your children at all times, but your main responsibilities will include:

  • leading "reflection time" with your children that are in your cabin (you will not be asked to lead children from other churches)
  • Tracking the medicine of the kids in your group.  We will provide a fire proof safe to lock them all up, but it will be your responsibility to make sure kids have what they need when they need it.
  • Making sure all kids are where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there.

CAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTEND AS CHAPERONS?

If you have properly vetted your Juniors or Seniors, you can bring them as chaperones.  Please make sure a background check is performed on all adult leaders.  Just as an FYI, we use a company named Trak-1 Technologies.  You can reach them at shawn.burch@trak-1.com or 318-965-5756.

IS CAMP SPARK DENOMINATIONALLY AFFILIATED?

Though we do not try to solve denominational issues at camp…that is way too deep and usually not real interesting…we are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.

HOW ARE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS DETERMINED?

The camp facilities normally make these assignments, but we put your gender specific students together, along with your adult leader. If you have more students than will fit in a cabin, we will split them and your leaders, to make sure all bases are covered. If you do not have enough students to fill a cabin, you will share a cabin with another group and their leader (in most cases).

If you require your students to be only in a cabin with your students, this is possible, but you will need to fill/purchase all available space for that cabin.  Please contact us at the time of original registration to guarantee arrangements.

ARE MEALS AND LODGING INCLUDED IN THE CAMP PRICE?

Absolutely....and there is absolutely no chance they will look anything like the picture to the right...but they really are good.

WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE FOR CAMPERS?

The maximum age is "just completed 5th grade." The minimum age is "just completed 2nd grade."
